New Fairfield Youth Basketball is seeking volunteer head coaches and assistant coaches for both Travel and in-house teams. No experience necessary. Coaching youth basketball can be an extremely rewarding experience, and the non-profit NFYB organization relies on the generous time commitments of volunteer coaches to operate.

All head coaches must be adults. Assistant coaches can be adults or high school students (community service hours can be earned). All coaches will be selected at the sole discretion of the NFYB Board of Directors.

All adult coaches must pass a mandatory background check, and all coaches are expected to:

1.      Comply with NFYB and FCBL rules and regulations and codes of conduct

2.      Adhere to NFYB coaching guidelines and best practices

3.      Communicate effectively and appropriately with players, parents, other coaches, and NFYB Board members.
